Here are some the most frequently asked questions I receive:
+ What style of photography do you offer?
My main aim is to provide you with a set of images that reflect the story of your day, therefore my style is very much grounded in documentary and natural wedding photography. However, I do appreciate that family like to have a few group portraits, and will happily plan and coordinate these with you before and on the day.
+ Do you offer engagement shoots?
I certainly do! They are a great way to ease any nerves you have about being photographed. Always informal and relaxed, it gives you a chance to have some fun and get some stunning portraits of you both before the big day.
+ What gear do you use? Do you have back up equipment?
I use two professional Nikon digital cameras with a set of high performance zoom lenses. I always have a backup camera, lenses, flash guns, batteries and memory cards on hand if anything goes wrong.
+ How far will you travel to photograph a wedding?
Anywhere in the world! I relish the chance to photograph weddings all over the UK and abroad, and I am more than happy to travel to wherever your big day might be held. Expenses will be required for overseas weddings, but I will always do my very best to keep this as affordable as possible for you. Please do get in touch for a quote if this is the case.
+ How long do you work on the wedding day?
Typically I will arrive around 3 hours before the ceremony begins, and will stay taking pictures up until at least 30 minutes after your first dance, which is usually at around 9pm. If these timings don’t work for you, or you require some extra time from me then just let me know.
+ Do you use an assitant or second photographer?
Usually it will just be me attending your wedding day, however if you did want an additional photographer to come along then I have plenty of people that I can rely on. An extra photographer will come to £450. If you are interested in a second photographer attending your wedding day please do get in touch for more info.
+ Do you have insurance?
Yes, I have professional indemnity and public liability insurance up to £5m.
+ Do we need to feed you?
Yes please! Weddings are particularly long days as I’ll be with you from the preparations in the morning all the way to the first dance and disco time. Some sort of food would be much appreciated.
+ What happens if you are ill or there is an emergency?
I have a little list of trusted wedding photographers that I can call upon if I cannot make it for an urgent reason or ill health. I have yet to use a replacement photographer for a wedding that I have been previously booked for but should the unlikely ocassion happen, I will arrange a replacement photographer of same quality for you.
+ How long does it take before we receive our photos?
I will do my best to deliver your photos within 4 weeks after your wedding day.
+ How many photographs do we get?
Each wedding is different from one to another, I do not limit the number of photos I take on the day. I take as many as I can and I aim to deliver between 400-600 photos depending on the length of the day.
+ Do we get a mixture of B&W and color images?
Yes is the short answer! Firstly I personally edit the images leaving you with all the beautiful story telling images from your wedding day and then I make a professional judgement whether they will look their best in either colour or black and white. Every image is taken in the highest resolution in colour so we can always go back and make a favourite image of yours to your preferred choice.
